The Commodore Computer Club U.K. was formed during June 2008 with the first meeting held in July the same year; the group exists in order to support users of all popular Commodore 8-bit computers, ranging from the Commodore (CBM) PET series through to the Commodore 128 and most famously the Commodore 64. As a user group, their primary interest is in keeping various aging 8-bit computers useful for as long as possible and this is done by by supporting hardware and software developments across all of the aforementioned machines.

The graphical design of the Commodore Computer Club U.K. website was loosely based on Commodore Business Machines' own designs and in particular the badges placed on the earlier Commodore disk drives, whilst the colour scheme is inspired by some of their later models of 8-bit home computer, in particular the Commodore 64C and Commodore 128. The website features a message board for all visitors, which is powered by phpBB 2 with a private area for the club's members.
